I ventured forth to 1003 K Street in Belleville, Kansas 66935. I went to the county building and looked at the property records and the property was deeded in 1893 and the house started to be built, but was not registered in the county until 1910. So, it is about 130 years old. It looks old. It looks like it has been there a long time. Even a church owned it at one point, but they too got rid of it. Local people call it the “Witch House” as well and some say you can hear demonic changing when you walk by in the middle of the night. Apparently, when it was used as a rental nobody would live there longer than a couple of months and previous owners did virtually nothing to maintain the place.
So, I learned of this place indirectly from the current owner’s ex-girlfriend (to be vague). She claimed the house “hated her” and made her time there miserable. She claims the owner is a bona-fide Witch and claims to have seen this with her own eyes. She saw her unlock locked doors, make lost items just “appear” after getting frustrated with not finding them, and could do actual fire magic – light candles across the room type of stuff. Super creepy. Definitely somewhere worth parking your car somewhere and just walking by in the middle of the night.
